Originally designed for her own style, her hobby grew to incorporate her friend’s style as well.
Jess designed pieces by requests for her friends and family. After leaving her old career behind, the business background took over and Anje Designs was opened for business in April 2005.
Jess lives by one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Kailua, Hawaii. She draws inspiration for her art from the sea and the white sands. Her husband, Tom, travels all over the world for business. On each trip he hunts down bead sellers and brings bags home for Jess to use in her business. His favorite place to shop for her is the Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok, Thailand.
He is elbow to elbow with all the Thai silver makers carefully selecting the beads for his wife. Sometimes, Jess is able to travel with her husband and shop with him.
